Hungary’s National Intellectual Property Council held its founding meeting at the National Office for Intellectual Property on Thursday.

The council will issue opinions on drafts of comprehensive measures designed to protect intellectual property, participate in the development of a national strategy to protect intellectual property and monitor and support implementation of the strategy.

The twelve-member council includes professionals in the fields of music, the fine arts, literature, journalism, design, engineering, education and the sciences. It is headed by Erik Bogsch, CEO of drugmaker Gedeon Richter.
