The National Economy Ministry on Tuesday confirmed that Hungary’s ESA accrual-based general government deficit, excluding one-off items, would be under the target of 2.94% of GDP, judging from cash flow-based data published a day earlier.
Hungary’s cash flow-based general government deficit, excluding local councils, reached HUF 1,734.4bn by the end of December, the ministry said late Monday. Excluding one-off items, the deficit comes to just HUF 619.8bn, the ministry said on Tuesday.
Including the one-off items, the accrual-based general government balance will show a surplus of HUF 976bn or about 3.5% of GDP, the ministry said.
