The partnership focuses on supporting SMEs in Hajdú-Bihar County and connecting them with opportunities linked to the rapidly expanding electric vehicle supply chain.

Under the agreement, the two sides will cooperate closely in identifying potential suppliers and subcontractors and facilitating business connections. VOSZ will use its extensive network to connect EVE Power with relevant local service providers.

Company executives highlighted Debrecen’s strong economic base, noting that many SMEs in the city already supply Western European and other international companies. EVE Power said it intends to rely on this professional expertise and experience in building its local supply chain.

Zhang Huanting, managing director of EVE Power Hungary, said, “For EVE Power Hungary, it is extremely important to build close relationships with local economic players in the long term. Our company is a global enterprise, and companies from many countries are present in our supplier network, but it is a fundamental goal for us to work with local suppliers wherever possible, thereby strengthening the domestic value chain. This cooperation with VOSZ helps ensure that our investment creates development opportunities for as many Hungarian businesses as possible; we thank the Association for its support and constructive partnership.”

Balogh Károly, president of the Hajdú-Bihar County organization of VOSZ, said at the signing, “This is a particularly important moment for VOSZ, as in EVE Power we can work together with an innovative partner active in green technologies that has already proven its excellence as a key supplier to BMW. The aim of our Multimentor program is precisely to integrate fair and competitive Hungarian companies into this type of value-creating multinational environment.”

EVE Power Hungary said it will regularly share information about its supplier needs and actively participate in local business forums. The cooperation will also extend to exploring labor market and training connections, as well as aligning investment promotion goals.

The open-ended agreement is expected to further strengthen the economic ecosystem of Debrecen and Hajdú-Bihar County, providing local companies with direct access to opportunities in the international electromobility industry.
