Representatives of Hungarian companies in the energy, environmental, pharmaceutical and tourism sectors are travelling to countries in Central Asia with a delegation headed by Hungarian President Pál Schmitt.
Schmitt left on Sunday for official visits to Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
Gábor Zelei, business development director for oil and gas company MOL’s Upstream division, told MTI that MOL is interested in exploration and production in Uzbekistan. The visit to Turkmenistan could help the company build partnerships there too, he added.
Tamás Nádasi, chairman of Aquaprofit, said the environmental company could assist Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan with some serious water management and environmental protection problems.
The heads of Hungary’s PHARMAEXPERT as well as Robinson Tours are also travelling with Mr Schmitt’s delegation.
