The heads of six Hungarian unions associations met with the IMF’s resident representative in Hungary Iryna Ivaschenko on Tuesday, unions association MSzOSz said on Wednesday.

The parties at the meeting, initiated by the unions associations, informed each other of their stands on the financial, economic and social situation in Hungary.

Both sides judged the talks to be useful and agreed to create the opportunity to meet again later, MSzOSz said.

Hungary is seeking precautionary financial assistance from the International Monetary Fund and the European Union.
