Tarlós said that the three cities would cooperate in gaining access to European Union funding connected to transportation and energy and in promoting central European interests within the EU and developing partnerships with countries that are not members of the organization. The Budapest mayor noted that Prague has also signaled its intention to participate in cooperation between the capital cities of European Union countries located in central and eastern Europe, though Prague Mayor Bohuslav Svoboda was unable to attend Thursday’s meeting in Budapest.
