Full-time fostered workers will earn a gross HUF 79,155 per month, and skilled fostered workers will earn a gross HUF 101,480 per month in 2016, just as they did last year, the daily reported. This year will be the first with no wage raise for fostered workers, since the Hungarian government extended public work schemes in 2011, the daily added.

Under a government decree published at the end of 2015, the minimum wage of unskilled workers was raised by 5.7% to a gross HUF 111,000 and to a gross HUF 129,000 for skilled workers, the daily said. The government usually revises fostered workersʼ wages by year-end, Hungarian news agency MTI said.
