There were 620,000 registered job seekers in Hungary at the end of March, 4.9% more than twelve months earlier but 8.3% fewer than at the end of February, fresh data from the National Labor Affairs Office (NMH) shows. The number of new jobs registered at local employment offices reached 142,000 in March. About 92% of these were subsidised by the state. There were 178,000 long-term unemployed in Hungary at the end of March.
