The number of landline telephone connections fell by 2,000 to 2,976,00 in December from the previous month, the National Media and Telecommunications Authority (NMHH) said on Tuesday.
The number of conventional landline telephone connections fell by 18,000 to 2,279,000, while the number of voice over cable television connections rose by 18,000 to 598,000. The number of voice over internet protocol connections rose by 2,000 to 101,000.
The number of landlines per hundred people was 29.79% in December.
