The management of Austrian-owned Rail Cargo Hungária announced Thursday it has come to an agreement with unions and is about to hand out a one-off payment to employees to compensate for the net wage loss caused by this year’s tax and contributions modifications.
Rail Cargo Hungária will pay out the compensation by August 1, 2011 for existing employees. The decision affects 2,500 workers according to the company. Rail Cargo Hungária’s job guarantee expired at the end of 2010, the announcement recalled.
