From the very first day, Sziget 2025 came alive with color and energy, the island and its visitors turning vibrant green thanks to Charli XCX’s electrifying opening performance. On that same Main Stage, audiences were treated to shows from The Last Dinner Party, Nelly Furtado, Shawn Mendes, Kid Cudi, FKA Twigs and more. The Main Stage also hosted the festival’s Sziget Specials, — striking artistic moments with a purpose — featuring the Superar kids’ choir and the beloved Queenz — who, next to performing daily in the Magic Mirror, delivered a spectacular drag performance in front of the Main Stage crowd. On the final day, the colour pink swept across the island as Chappell Roan brought the festival an unforgettable headline show.
The organizers of Sziget had promised major changes and a fresh new look for this year’s festival, and delivered. “We have never started a Sziget with such tense anticipation before,” said Tamás Kádár, the festival’s main organizer. “I’m happy to report that the opinion is unanimous, the refreshing change did good for Sziget.”

Kádár described the renewal as the first step in a longer-term process, already defining genre-focused districts such as Szoho, a multicultural hub for music and street culture, and Paradox, dedicated to performance art, visuals, and illusion. Sziget’s nightlife saw a major revival with the introduction of the Delta District, home to all forms of electronic music and boosting discounted night ticket sales by 40–50% compared to last year.
Every night, festivalgoers could enjoy a spectacular performance by the Zenit Aerial Ballet, staged right next to the renowned Revolut Stage. That stage hosted unforgettable shows from among others Justice, Caribou, Empire of the Sun and Zaho de Sagazan. The recurring daily shows in the Magic Mirror and Cirque du Sziget proved hugely popular, with word of mouth spreading fast and ensuring that each performance played to a full house.

This year’s Sziget saw plenty to count: 416,000 visitors, the arrival of its 11 millionth Szitizen granted lifetime access to the festival – there were 1073 performances and countless hugs shared among the audience.
