TakarékBank paid HUF 1.3 billion on the extraordinary bank levy in 2010, Csicsáky said.
TakarékBank’s pre-tax profit fell to HUF 379 million in 2010, the bank said two weeks earlier. Excluding the effect of the bank levy, profits would have risen about 14% to almost HUF 2 billion, it noted.
Csicsáky said on Wednesday the bank spent about HUF 800 million on IT developments in 2010, further strengthening its function as a central bank integrated with savings cooperatives.
