The company’s freight bicycle models will also be exhibited at the Friedrichshafen Bicycle Trade Show in 2012. Neuzer is already making four different types of freight bicycles for the Dutch market, owner Andras Neuzer told MTI.
Neuzer is building a HUF 600m plant in the Esztergom Industrial Park, north of Budapest. The plant will have an area of 6,500 square meters, including 2,000 square meters of warehouse space. Neuzer expects to start production on January 1, 2012. The plant will have capacity to turn out 140,000 bicycles in a year.
Neuzer’s revenue reached HUF 2.7 billion in 2010.
Neuzer has a unit in Romania, which sells an annual 8,000-10,000 bicycles. A Slovakian-owned company for whom Neuzer is the sole parts supplier sells 15,000 bicycles a year.
The company employs 150 people.
