Gov’t raises spending limit for rail line renovation project to HUF 161.8 bln

Spending on the renovation of a rail line between Szajol, in the centre of Hungary, and Püspökladány, in the east of the country, may rise by at most HUF 24.4 billion to HUF 161.8 billion under a government decree published in the fresh issue of the official gazette Magyar Közlöny.

The 70km line is part of a pan-European transport corridor. The renovation will raise the speed on which trains may travel on the line to 160km/h.
