Experts from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) are in Hungary to share their international experience on local government systems with the central government, the National Economy Ministry told MTI on Friday, confirming a report in daily Népszabadság.
Népszabadság said the IMF delegation was offering the government technical assistance and was not in talks on another loan for Hungary.
The ministry told MTI the consultations were entirely independent of the IMF’s activities as a lender.
