Gen. Raymond Henault, chairman of the NATO Military Committee, arrived in Hungary on Wednesday, kicking off his three-day official visit, local media reported. During his stay in Hungary, Henault will meet senior Hungarian officials, including the defense minister, foreign minister and chief of staff of the country’s armed forces. Hungarian Army Chief of Staff András Havril will brief Henault about the progress in reforms of Hungary’s armed forces and the east European country’s anticipated role in the NATO Response Force. Henault will also visit an air base in the southern city of Kecskemét.
