The meeting ending on Thursday was the 14th session of the committee, and it was co-chaired by Erika Szabó, a state secretary at the Hungarian Justice Ministry and by Maros Zilinka, a state secretary at the Slovak Interior Ministry.
The meeting discussed twin city cooperation and cross-border public transport projects, infrastructure and tourism projects and work groups were set up to oversee these projects, a statement released after the session said.
A Hungarian-Slovak consortium won €7 million in EU funding in 2009 to build two Ipoly bridges. The EU funding covers 85% of the total cost of investment, with the remainder to be financed jointly by Slovakia and Hungary.
