TIGÁZ posted after-tax profit of HUF 579 million in 2010, down from HUF 1.49 billion in 2009.
Operating profit fell to HUF 1.98 billion from HUF 10.57 billion in 2009, and EBITDA fell to HUF 4.36 billion from HUF 15.74 billion in the previous year.
TIGÁZ distributes natural gas in the north and east of Hungary, covering one-third of the country’s territory. It sold 1.74 billion cubic meters of gas in its capacity as universal service provider to 1.193 million clients last year. The number of such retail clients fell from 1.236 million in 2009.
