Confidence indicators for the industrial sector increased to 99.5 points vs 93.9 in March and in the selected services sector rose to 106.7 p. vs 102.3. On the other hand, confidence levels retreated for constructors (123.5 vs 123.8) and retailers (100.8 vs 101.9).
Meanwhile, the consumer confidence indicator in the Czech Republic declined to 81.3 in April from 82.4 in the previous month.
It was the lowest reading since November of 2012, as a significant share of households believed their current financial situation was worse than in the previous 12 months and had more concerns over further price increases. At the same time, sentiment regarding the overall economic situation and their own financial situation in the year ahead deteriorated.
