Despite this long‑term rise, only 25% of respondents consider their financial situation safe and predictable, while 54% rate it positively overall.

About 22% say their HUF 489,000 average income is just enough for daily needs, 29% report stable but savings‑free living on HUF 571,000, and more than 30% can save occasionally with incomes near HUF 750,000.

The most secure 7% earn more than HUF 800,000, while 3% must get by on HUF 282,000 and another 7% struggle month‑to‑month on HUF 365,000.

The findings highlight that rising incomes have not translated evenly into improved financial security among Hungary’s middle‑aged population.
