Hungarian oil and gas company MOL has started importing crude through Croatia’s Adria pipeline, Gulyás said according to news wire MTI, noting that the question of whether or not the capacity of the pipeline is sufficient to supply fully MOL’s refineries in Hungary and Slovakia is “up for debate”.

The question will soon be decided as capacity tests are underway, he added.

Deliveries through the Adria can temporarily make up for part of the crude Hungary is not getting through the Druzhba, he said.

Deliveries to Hungary through the Druzhba ceased on January 27. Hungary has tapped its strategic crude reserves to supply the Danube Refinery, south of the capital.
