The resulting natural population decrease was 4,354, slightly less than the 4,424 recorded in October 2024.
A total of 4,149 couples were married in the month, up 14% from the same period a year earlier. Between January and October, 60,304 children were born, 7.1% fewer than in the same period last year, while the number of deaths fell 2.2% to 102,748.
The cumulative natural population decrease reached 42,444, marking a 5.7% increase from a year earlier, KSH said. Marriages in the 10-month period totaled 41,437, down 0.9% y.o.y.
