The volume of investments fell 3.8% year-on-year based on raw data, marking another quarter of subdued capital expenditure. On a quarterly basis, seasonally adjusted figures show a 0.3% decline at comparative prices, indicating a slight but continued downturn in investment momentum.
Seasonally adjusted data also reveal that overall investment performance in the national economy decreased by 4.1% compared with the same period a year earlier. The contraction was driven largely by weakening activity in transportation and storage, as well as in manufacturing.
Both sectors saw reduced capacity expansion and fewer ongoing development projects, contributing significantly to the overall decline.
The downward trend, however, was partially offset by increasing investment activity in financial services.
