At 2:30 p.m., on the final day of the weeklong event, 17-year-old Emília Panna Kormos walked through the gates to find herself greeted by a crowd of photographers.

The high school student, who lives in Oman, is attending Sziget for the first time, arriving with her aunt.

She said the main draw for her was the Chappell Roan concert, but she came early in the day to explore the festival grounds.

The Sziget Festival, which began in 1993 and has grown into one of Europe’s largest music and cultural events, has now hosted more than 11 million “Szitizens,” as attendees are affectionately called, over its three-decade history.
