Based on raw figures, output remained flat year-on-year. However, working-day adjusted data showed a 5.4% decline, due largely to the calendar effect — March 2025 had two more working days than March 2024.

On a month-to-month basis, according to seasonally and working-day adjusted data, industrial output was 0.1% higher than in February 2025.

Production volume decreased across the majority of manufacturing subsections compared to the previous year. Among the largest sectors by weight, increases were recorded in the manufacture of transport equipment, computer, electronic and optical products, and food, beverages, and tobacco products. Meanwhile, the manufacture of electrical equipment products posted a year-on-year decline.

For the first quarter of 2025, industrial production was down by 4.4% compared to the same period in 2024.
