Market players do not anticipate a shortage, though they advise against last-minute shopping. Csaba Héjja, a strategic analyst at MBH Bank’s Agricultural and Food Business Unit, said the current average price of HUF 85-90 per egg will likely hold steady during the holiday.
“The margin freeze caused an overall single-digit decrease in store prices. Still, as demand rises toward the peak season, prices could increase slightly due to supplier prices not being frozen,” Héjja explained.
űHowever, he added that market trends currently suggest no significant price change in the coming weeks.
