Subsidy Rules Relaxed for Businesses in Smallest Settlements

The government has lowered the investment threshold for a subsidies scheme from HUF 4 billion to HUF 1.2 bln for businesses in the country's smallest settlements, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó said in a post on Facebook on Sunday, according to a report by state news wire MTI.
Szijjártó noted that the subsidies program covers up to half of the cost of corporate investments.
Other conditions for the scheme are being streamlined and subsidies will be available to companies in the capital for renewable energy investments, he said.
A new form of support will be available to companies across Hungary for investments supporting the transition to a green economy, he added.
