Hungary's new ministers for justice and European Union affairs took their oaths of office in parliament on Tuesday, according to a report by state news wire MTI.

Bence Tuzson was sworn in as justice minister and János Bóka as EU affairs minister.

Tuzson is replacing Judit Varga who is stepping down to lead governing Fidesz's list in the 2024 European Parliament elections.

Bóka will head a portfolio spun off from the Justice Ministry and coordinate preparations for Hungary to take the rotating presidency of the Council of the EU in the second half of 2024.
