Companies Less Pessimistic Than Last Year

Analysis

Nearly half of respondents see the country's economic outlook as less favorable than the year prior, according to a survey on the economic expectations of Hungarian businesses that the Niveus Consulting Group conducted for the third time this year, writes profitline.hu.

Last year, however, they were even more pessimistic, as three-quarters of the respondents gave the same answer. Consequently, significantly fewer companies (32%) have a crisis plan than last year (83%).

In the event of an economic crisis, they would like to see wage and contribution subsidies and tax reductions.

In the past year, 42% of businesses did not take advantage of any tax reduction option, while approximately every sixth company used tax incentives for development, energy efficiency, and supporting team sports.
