Nagisz Unit Completes HUF 5.9 bln Hog Farm

Land

Hage, a unit of the Nagisz group, has completed a HUF 5.9 billion hog farm on the outskirts of Békéscsaba, the agribusiness said on Wednesday, according to a report by state news wire MTI.

The farm, built with HUF 2.2 bln in state support, is expected to turn out 25,000 hogs a year.

The general contractor for the investment was Bodrogi Bau.

The investment is the largest in a series of projects with a combined value of HUF 30 bln on which Nagisz decided late in 2020, when OTP Group's PortfoLion Green Fund acquired over 90% of the group. By 2024, the group aims to sell 300,000 hogs a year.
