A new study has revealed Hungary to be the fourth most restless country in Europe.

Greece was ranked as the most restless country in Europe, with Italy and the Netherlands close behind in second and third place. Hungary comes fourth out of the 28 countries included.

Online bedroom furniture retailer Bed Kingdom analyzed eight factors across 28 European countries to determine where people are likely to be the most restless. Each factor was weighted equally to create a total 'Restfulness Score' out of 100 for each country.

Greece was revealed to be the most restless country in Europe, scoring 69.84 out of 100. In second place was Italy, scoring 70.74 out of 100. The Netherlands came in third with a score of 71.82 out of 100. Hungary ranked fourth with a 'Restfulness Score' of 72.59.

The factors considered were the minimum number of days paid annual leave and public holiday, maximum hours allowed to work weekly, legal minimum duration of rest breaks, annual working hours per person, hours of daily and weekly rest, and the percentage of the population sleeping for 7 hours or more each night.

"Getting a good night's sleep is essential for our well-being, however it is important that people are supported to maintain an adequate amount of rest throughout the day as well,” a Bed Kingdom spokesman explained.
