Telenor Hungary welcomes new vice president of innovation

Zoltán Takács was appointed Telenor Hungary’s vice president of innovation, signaling a new direction for the company to further strengthen its focus on innovative services and partnerships that extend beyond traditional mobile business, according to a press release issued today.

Takács joined Telenor in 2011 as product and innovation director. Later he was appointed chief digital services officer in 2013. Before joining Telenor, Takács gained international experience in sales, marketing, product, service and business development at companies such as Ericsson, Nokia, RTL Klub and Huawei, the statement said. 

“We are very glad to have Zoltán on board again after a period of sick leave. Zoltán played a vital role in launching popular digital services including online television service MyTV, music catalogue Deezer and Telenor Wallet. With this new position, Telenor will strengthen its focus on making more and more innovation available for customers. I am confident that Zoltán’s broad-based experience will provide a valuable contribution to this journey,” said Christopher Laska, CEO of Telenor Hungary.
