Telenor Hungary names new technical deputy CEO

György Koller has been named technical deputy CEO at Telenor Hungary, having worked with the Telenor Group for 22 years, according to a press statement sent to the Budapest Business Journal on Monday.

Koller spent 17 years with Telenor Hungary as customer service leader and also in the field of network and product development. He was then technical deputy CEO of Telenor’s Pakistan subsidiary in 2011-2014, before joining the Telenor Group to lead its European customer experience IT system development project for two years.

“It has been a great joy for me to return to Telenor Hungary, and to see the developments undertaken in the past few years. In 2011, we were working on the expansion of 3G coverage, while at this very moment we have covered the whole country with 4G,” Koller said. “Developments continue, and we are making progress in introducing 4G+ technology to our bases, which I believe will significantly change our view of using phones,” he added.
