Schneider Electric Hungary welcomes new leader

Zsolt Veres has been appointed Country Director at Schneider Electric Hungary, replacing József Spilkó, who will be responsible for leading business development for the Central Eastern European region at the company, according to a press statement sent to the Budapest Business Journal yesterday.

Veres, who will be heading the Hungarian subsidiary of the international energy management and automation company, which employs 1,500 people locally, was the CEO of IBM Hungary for five years before joining Schneider Electric.

The professional of 24 years started at Schneider a month ago. He says one of his main tasks is to learn about the organization’s culture, processes and strategy fast, in order to add new growth possibilities to already existing areas, according to the press statement. He also wants to raise recognition of the company in sectors of the economy where Schneider Electric is less well known.
