Tibor Balogh was appointed CEO of OMV Hungary, as of the beginning of June, with the responsibility of leading the company on the Hungarian market, according to a press release issued today.

Balogh, who has 25 years experience in the sector, joined OMV 17 years ago. His responsibilities in his new role will include the operations of OMV’s 172 stations in Hungary, out of which 58 are home to Spar express food retail stores.

Since 2013, Balogh assumed the role of director of sales and vehicle gas pricing at the company. He is also the vice-president of the Hungarian Petroleum Association.

“OMV’s development in Hungary is a success story, and I am planning to continue this legacy with new improvements,” Balogh said in connection with his promotion. “My aim is to further strengthen the firm’s position in Hungary and respond to the challenges in the sector,” he said.
