Professional services firm PwC Hungary has brought Szabolcs Mezei on board as new director in its Advisory services practice. In his new role, Mezei will be tasked with improving public sector consulting, says a press release sent to the Budapest Business Journal.

Before joining PwC, Mezei worked for nearly 12 years at IFUA Horváth & Partners Kft. as a management consultant, and later as principal responsible for the public sector. Prior to that, he served at Hungary’s Ministry of Interior as an accounting manager, where he was in charge of accounting support and supervision of institutions under the ministry’s authority.

More recently Mezei has led successful consulting projects at several public institutions (in central administration, healthcare, higher and public education, and local governments), providing customized professional and technological assistance to improve their performance.

Mezei has been actively involved with the Association of Management Consultants in Hungary (VTMSZ) for several years, where he currently serves as vice chairman. He regularly gives lectures as a guest lecturer in higher educational institutions to promote management consulting in the public sector.

Mezei is a Certified Management Consultant (CMC), and also holds a Public Administration Certificate. He spends most of his free time with his family, and enjoys playing sports (soccer and squash) and taking online courses.

With offices in 158 countries and more than 236,000 people, PwC is among the leading professional services networks in the world, delivering assurance, tax and advisory services.

We would like to offer that same opportunity to our readers. We would like to invite you to help us deliver the quality business journalism you require. Hit our Support the BBJ button and you can choose the how much and how often you send us your contributions.
