KPMG Hungary welcomes new partners, directors

Three leading employees of KPMG Hungary have been promoted to partner status as of October, while two new people have been recruited for director positions, according to a press statement sent to the Budapest Business Journal.

Ágnes Rakó has been promoted to partner, responsible for KPMG’s accounting consulting, financial risk management, bookkeeping and payroll services. Over the years she has gained product development and business successes in supporting the firm’s transition IFRS, the press statement says. As of October, she will be heading the financial risk management consultancy of KPMG offering services for banks, insurers, asset managers and corporate clients. She has been with the firm since 1999.

Gábor Cserháti has been promoted to consultancy partner, leading a group that aides corporate and governmental clients with internal controls, compliance services, certifying bodies and accreditation services related to EU support, evaluation and impact studies, as well as sustainability services to help corporate and government customers. He has been working with KPMG since 2002, and previously led evaluation and impact assessment projects for European Union chief directory boards, for EU institutions, national authorities and the corporate sector players in more than 15 countries.

Gábor Zachár has been promoted to tax partner. Having joined the firm in 2008, he has experience in international and domestic M&A, audits, transformations and tax planning, as well as representing clients before tax authorities. According to the press statement, due to his lead in the aforementioned branches, KPMG has been able to increase revenues and expand the number of clients.

Balázs Horváth is joining KPMG as director responsible for services related to Shared Services & Outsourcing. He will be supporting SSCs in Hungary in order to maintain competitiveness, as well as helping local and international multinationals in establishing new SSCs. Previously he has worked at Proservartner in Düsseldorf, and General Motors’s Budapest SSC.

Zsolt Winkler is joining as director responsible for services related to the telecommunications, media and technology sector. Prior to this he worked at Magyar Telekom Group for 16 years. In the past six years he led MTel’s innovation and incubation lab, known as Kitchen Budapest. Before that he worked at the strategic directory board of Telekom Group.
