The Kapolyi Law Firm has further expanded its team with two lawyers starting from September. Sándor Habóczky and Péter Gullai have arrived from the same international law firm, according to a press release received by the Budapest Business Journal.

Sándor Habóczky

For the past seven and a half years, Dr. Sándor Habóczky has been acting as a partner of the Budapest office of Schoenherr, where he headed the real estate, regulatory/energy, and litigation/dispute resolution practices. He gained significant experience in complex real estate transactions - e.g. office, retail, hotel and logistics investments and developments, as well as with the real estate aspects of numerous M&A deals – and his knowledge and skills are also mentioned and recognized by international legal directories Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners.

Habóczky also previously acted as a leading partner of an association of Budapest law firms, primarily assisting a set of domestic private investors, which he joined following a period of more than five years spent as an M&A lawyer with the Hungarian office of Baker McKenzie.

Dr. Péter Gullai worked for Schoenherr in Habóczky’s team from 2015. During this period, he mainly assisted in regulatory, energy law and real estate mandates. Earlier he worked in the legal departments of a significant real estate developer, energy service provider ELMŰ-ÉMÁSZ, and MKB Bank. He has authored numerous articles and analyses in the fields of energy and real estate law.
