The Experience Center in District 15 of Budapest will host the 9th edition of the China Smart Expo from May 31 to June 2 inclusive. The event will feature more than 300 exhibitors and business networking opportunities.

The theme of the expo will be broader than before as tourism and sports organizations, copyright companies and universities will exhibit as well, according to a press release sent to the Budapest Business Journal.

These companies and organizations are all provided and audited by the Ministry of Commerce of China; some already have partners in Hungary, but most are taking their first steps in the region. The organizers will provide the opportunity for registered visitors to previously book appointments with the chosen companies.

The organizers are assisting successful businesses with many tools - for example, GHIBLI Co. Ltd. can help with forwarding issues with its experience in importing Chinese goods - but they will also provide a consultation service to answer visitorsʼ questions.

This year the main guest of the exhibition is the birthplace of Confucius, Shandong province. Food industry, agricultural and FMCG exporting companies from the Central and East European region will introduce themselves. More than 60 exhibitors from eight countries in the region (Hungary, Slovakia, Poland, Slovenia, Ukraine, Romania, Serbia, Croatia) will participate with their products.

The main organizers of the expo, the Ministry of Commerce of China (MOFCOM), and co-organizers CECZ (Central European Trade and Logistics Cooperation Zone) and ChinaCham Hungary (Hungarian-Chinese Chamber of Economy), are providing a wide range of services to SMEs in the region in order to help them find new business partners.
