Budapest fair showcases independent record labels
The first event series in Hungary focusing solely on independent music labels and their audience will hold its second edition at the Szimpla Kert in Budapest on Saturday, September 8. More than 50 labels will participate.
Visitors to the fair can meet the people behind their favorite labels in person, support them directly by purchasing their releases, and of course discover new gems, according to a press release sent to the Budapest Business Journal.
Labels will have the chance to reach a wider audience and sell both their existing and new releases (vinyl, CDs, tapes, T-shirts, etc).
Among the labels present at the fair will be: 4mg, 8ounce, Baba Vanga, Black Hoe, Blackrod, Budabeats, Budapest Vinyl, Capeesh Society, Chameleon, Concorde Nation, Crossroads, CYST, Dalmata Daniel, Dióbél, Draze, Drinkinʼ Beer, Drum Machine Funk, Elevated, Exiles, Klinik, Krypton it, L.V., Launching Gagarin, Legenda, Lone Waltz, Mana Mana, Moira Audio, Moiras, NOW, Paeoni, Plug&Lay, Pongo Pongo, PrePost, RNR666, S*10, Saturday City, Selected Sounds, Tapes Sublimating, Techno Vinyls, Trottel, Unsigned Label, Vinylize, Wacuum Airs, and XLNT.
Concerts and DJ sets will be performed all day by artists connected to the participating labels, including Lipi Brown, Frenk, Chillum Trio, The Nobody Elses, Hungarian Sample Heritage Band, Anton Vezuv, Hi, Figura és Goulasch, and Marge.
