Waberer's reports EUR 2.7 mln income
Listed Hungarian hauler Waberer's had first-quarter recurring net income of EUR 2.7 million, improving from a EUR 2.5 mln loss in the base period, according to an earnings report released on the website of the Budapest Stock Exchange.
Revenue fell 18% to EUR 142.3 mln as the company shifted focus in its international transport segment to profitable routes and contracts.
Waberer's noted that there were no non-recurring items booked in Q1 2021 as most costs related to the restructuring of the international transport segment were incurred in 2020.
Direct costs declined 22% to EUR 112.4 mln, outpacing the drop in turnover. Waberer's booked EUR 4.5 mln in operating profit.
