Load factor on Germanwings Budapest flights reaches 90% in summer

Load factor on low-fare airline Germanwings' Budapest flights reached 90% in the summer of 2011, communications director Joachim Schottes told journalists on Thursday.

This year, the airline expects passenger numbers to climb a few percent over last year, reaching 230,000, Schottes said. The increase is due in part to raising the number of Budapest-Cologne flights to a weekly three in the summer, he added.

Germanwings has carried 1.4m passengers on its Budapest-Cologne and Budapest-Stuttgart flights since adding Budapest to its destinations in 2003.
