Greek current account deficit falls
Greece’s current account deficit was €1.3 billion in March, down by €952 million or 42.5% year-on-year, the National Bank of Greece said in statement. According to the central bank, this development was mainly due to declines in trade deficit and income account deficit. The trade deficit contracted by €365 million in March from last year, due to fall in net oil import bill. The income account deficit shrank by €490 million.
