KSH: Gross earnings up 5.4% in August in Hungary
Average gross earnings in Hungary saw a year-on-year rise of 5.4% in August, reaching HUF 241,680, while the average net wage rose at the same pace to HUF 158,300, Hungary’s Central Statistical Office (KSH) said today.
Excluding the 108,500 Hungarians who are employed in Hungary’s fostered work programs, the average gross wage rose 5.9% to HUF 255,805, while net wages increased at the same rate to HUF 167,555, KSH data suggests. Those working full-time in fostered work schemes earned gross HUF 102,500 on average during the month, KSH reveals.
Average gross earnings were up by a year-on-year 3.7% in January-August 2015, with the salary increase of armed forces and the introduction of an additional allowance for those working in the social field boosting figures, Hungary’s Central Statistical Office (KSH) said.
