Hungary leasing market expands 16% in Q1-Q3
The value of new leasing contracts signed in Hungary came to HUF 309 bln in Q1-Q3, up 16% from the same period a year earlier, fresh data from the Hungarian Leasing Association show. More than 52,000 contracts were signed during the period, up 5%.
Contracts for cars, motorcycles and light commercial vehicles came to HUF 83 bln, up 30%, and fleet financing rose 7% to HUF 47 bln. Contracts for large commercial vehicles and buses increased 15% to HUF 82 bln. The value of machinery leases rose 30% to HUF 95 bln.
The value of Hungarian leasing companies' entire portfolio reached HUF 1,300 bln at the end of September.
