BUX rises on cue of European indices
The Budapest Stock Exchangeʼs main BUX index finished the session on Monday up 1.45% at 27,418.06, tracking gains in the region and Western Europe.
OTP bank gained 1.65% to HUF 6,587 on turnover of HUF 4.2 bln or almost 45% of the HUF 9.6 bln session total.
Oil and gas company MOL advanced 0.52% to HUF 17,540 on turnover of HUF 1.4 bln.
Drugmaker Richter rallied to finish up 2.73% at HUF 5,915. Turnover of the share reached HUF 3.4 bln.
Magyar Telekom rose 0.69% to HUF 438 on turnover of HUF 0.5 bln.
The bourseʼs mid-cap BUMIX index finished up 0.59% at 1,697.18.
Elsewhere in the region, Warsawʼs WIG 20 climbed 2.35% and the Prague PX rose 1.12%.
Western Europeʼs biggest indices were all higher ahead of the end of trade on Monday. Londonʼs FTSE 100 rose 1.50%, Frankfurtʼs DAX climbed 1.71% and the CAC 40 in Paris was up 1.84%.
