Documentary fest presents ’Naked Truth’ on screen

The Budapest International Documentary Festival (BIDF) will be held for the fifth time between January 28 and February 3 in Cinema City Aréna, bringing the "Naked Truth" to the audience, according to a press release sent to the Budapest Business Journal.

The event is aimed at people who are open to learn about human fates, problems, and social questions, or who just love film festivals, the press release says. The festival will feature internationally acclaimed documentaries, which are presented for the first time in Hungary, and in most cases only screened once.

A panel of experts, consisting of artists, public and press figures both domestic and international, as well as a panel of students and pensioners, will distribute awards in five categories: "Naked Hope," "Naked Message," "Naked Truth," "Naked Passion," and "Naked Shorts." After the screenings, guests will have the opportunity to meet the creators.

The list of films in the competition and further information can be found here.

Producing journalism that is worthy of the name is a costly business. For 27 years, the publishers, editors and reporters of the Budapest Business Journal have striven to bring you business news that works, information that you can trust, that is factual, accurate and presented without fear or favor.
Newspaper organizations across the globe have struggled to find a business model that allows them to continue to excel, without compromising their ability to perform. Most recently, some have experimented with the idea of involving their most important stakeholders, their readers.
We would like to offer that same opportunity to our readers. We would like to invite you to help us deliver the quality business journalism you require. Hit our Support the BBJ button and you can choose the how much and how often you send us your contributions.
