Investment funds shrink as negative yields outweigh fresh capital

Assets of investment funds in Hungary fell by HUF 15.2 billion to HUF 3,470 billion in May from a month earlier as negative yields outweighed fresh capital, the Association of Hungarian Investment Fund and Asset Management Companies (BAMOSz) said.

Investment funds drew almost HUF 60 billion in fresh capital in May, mainly from retail investors. Yields were hit by declines on share markets and the weaker forint, BAMOSz said. (MTI – Econews)
