Ukraine's Vorskla Steel is expected to start building a plant worth hundreds of millions of euros in the Fenyeslitke industrial park (NE Hungary) next year, National Economy Ministry state secretary Zsolt Bécsey told MTI after a forum in the town on Friday.

In the negotiations phase, there was talk of several hundred jobs, but some thousand workplaces are expected to be created later, Bécsey said.

Ukraine's Vorskla Steel said earlier it would build a €700m plant employing 1,000 workers in the park.

Bécsey said Kraz Logistics wants to build a €100m base in the park. Both the Kraz Logistics and Vorskla Steel investments are worth €400m-500m, he added.

The Fényeslitke industrial park was completed at a cost of HUF 3.5bn in 2010.
