Farmers' union to cater demonstrators, prepares for big demo

The Hungarian Farmers' Federation (Magosz) said on Wednesday its members were setting up soup kitchens in Budapest's Kossuth tér outside Parliament to feed anti-government demonstrators.

"The first batch of trucks carrying supplies will leave from the countryside for Kossuth tér today," Magosz president István Jakab said.
He said that the presidium of Magosz, the largest farmers' union, had decided at a meeting on Wednesday to begin preparing for a nationwide demonstration of farmers.
